21 Okt YAMAHA GEMPAK RIDERS CONVOY TO MOTOGP MALAYSIA 2012
Petaling Jaya, Sunday, 21st October 2012 – Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (“HLYM”) launched the first ever Yamaha Gempak Riders Convoy to the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2012. The event, which is opened to all Yamaha motorcycle owners, was jointly flagged-off from the Amcorp Mall’s Carpark by Supt. Zuklifi Bin Jonit, Ketua Jabatan Ketenteraman Awam / Ketua Trafik Negeri Selangor and Mr. Leong King Choon, General Manager, Sales & Marketing of HLYM.
“The Yamaha Gempak Riders Convoy to the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2012 attracted participants from all over Malaysia such as Penang, Perak, Pahang, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. As a responsible corporate citizen, HLYM had been actively pursuing in various road safety campaigns to support the Government’s continuous efforts to promote road safety awareness.’ said Mr. Voon Yin Kong, HLYM’s Marketing Manager.
The highly spirited Yamaha riders gathered at the flagged off point as early as 7:00am and were provided with a Main Grand Stand ticket each, together with food voucher, RM50 petrol card and a Yamaha Gempak Riders T-shirt.
“The objective of this convoy is to provide value added services for all the owners of Yamaha launched models, as to enable them to learn the pleasures of owning and riding Yamaha bike safely.” Added Mr. YK Voon.
Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has been organizing the “135LC Street Stylers” riding convoy to witness the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix races since 1996. Riding convoys have continued to provide an exciting opportunity for its bikers to enjoy riding as a leisure activity as well as to meet new friends within the biking fraternity.
