HONG LEONG YAMAHA MOTOR REVS INTO THE NEW YEAR WITH THE LAUNCH OF

NEW YAMAHA NMAX ABS, NOW IN DUAL CHANNEL ABS

GENTING HIGHLANDS, 12 JANUARY 2025 – Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (‘HLYM’) kicked off the new year in style by introducing the much-awaited Yamaha NMAX ABS at its exclusive Chinese New Year Dinner celebration, setting the tone for a year filled with automotive innovation and excellence.

The New Yamaha NMAX ABS retains the iconic DNA of the MAX series, preserving its signature elegant and premium design but with upgraded technology and a host of exceptional comfort and safety features to meet the demands of the modern rider.

Among its standout attributes is the 2-Channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), designed to ensure balanced and controlled braking in all conditions to minimize the risk of wheel lockups and skidding. Complemented by the newly added Traction Control System (TCS), which prevents wheel slippage on wet or uneven terrain, enhances rider confidence by ensuring a secure and smooth experience regardless of road and weather conditions.

Meticulously crafted with rider comfort at its core, the suspensions of the New Yamaha NMAX ABS have been refined for better bump absorption while the front and rear proportions of the bike have been condensed more toward the center of the machine resulting in better weight distribution for a more compact, powerful and stable feel.

With a focus on seamless connectivity, the New Yamaha NMAX ABS is equipped with a USB Type C charger to power devices, while the introduction of Yamaha Y-Connect ensures the rider can receive important information like the bike’s battery status, fuel consumption and recommendations about maintenance timing straight from his phone.

The New Yamaha NMAX ABS also offers convenience like the Smart Key System which saves time by offering easy entry and ignition with just a push of a button, while the expanded storage compartment under the seat ensures plenty of room for essentials.

Powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine, the New Yamaha NMAX ABS delivers a maximum power of 11.3kW at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm at 6,000 rpm. Exuding modern elegance and premium comfort, the New Yamaha NMAX ABS with an improved design is the perfect fusion of sophistication and riding comfort, tailored for the urban rider.

The New Yamaha NMAX ABS comes in two new exciting colours, Magma Black and Sky Blue, and is available at all authorized Yamaha dealers starting from 15th January 2025 at a recommended retail price of RM11,498.00 (excluding registration fees and insurance coverage).
