DOUBLE WIN FOR HONG LEONG YAMAHA MOTOR AT THE
ALLIANZ-BIKESREPUBLIC MOTORCYCLE OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2025

SAUJANA HOTEL, 19 FEBRUARY 2025 – Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (‘HLYM’) clinched two awards at the Allianz-BikesRepublic.com Motorcycle of the Year Awards 2025. The Yamaha Y16ZR was named ‘Kapcai of the Year’ while the Yamaha MT-09 took home the ‘Best Naked Bike of the Year (Below 1,000cc)’ award.

The awards ceremony which was organized by BikesRepublic.com, in collaboration with DSF.com and supported by Allianz Malaysia Berhad, featured 15 categories dedicated to motorcycles and is one of Malaysia’s most comprehensive motorcycle awards events aiming to provide industry players with a valuable benchmark to assess the performance and impact of their products to the local market.

Each motorcycle submission was rigorously tested and thoroughly examined by a panel of experienced judges to select the winner. The Yamaha Y16ZR earned the ‘Kapcai of the Year’ award due to its remarkable agility and innovative design, while the Yamaha MT-09 was praised for its outstanding power and versatility, making it the recipient of the ‘Best Naked Bike of the Year (Below 1,000cc)’ accolade.

These two awards are a testament to HLYM’s unwavering commitment to the motorcycle industry in Malaysia.
