FEEL THE DIFFERENCE! HLYM LAUCHES ITS 5TH GENERATION ALL-NEW YAMAHA LAGENDA 115Z WITH FUEL INJECTION

9 September 2013 – Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd (HLYM) officially launched its 5th Generation Lagenda model, the all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z with fuel injection today. The function was officiated by YB. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein, Minister of Transport, Malaysia.

In his opening address, Mr. CH Ng, HLYM’s Managing Director said “The all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z comes with a totally new sporty look and excellent quality feel with improved performance. With the latest fuel injection system, not only will you get to feel the power, it is also more economical in terms of fuel consumption. In fact, the reliability and efficiency of Yamaha’s fuel-injection technology has already been proven in another model, the Yamaha FZ150i.”

“The finishing of the all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z also gives you a high quality feel and a sophisticated ‘on-board’ riding experience” he further added.

The all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z is a new generation premium sporty moped that is equipped with attractive new features and superior performance capabilities. The model comes with various new features which include:

– An all-new air-cooled 4-stroke SOHC 115cc engine with fuel injection
– New ergonomic instrument panel
– A large under-seat storage compartment
– Easy to hold ‘grab bar’

Mr. Ng said, “As part of our communication and promotional activities for the new model, we have created a game app called the “Yamaha Tornado Run” which features the Yamaha Lagenda 115Z. Motorcycle owners are able to play this interesting and fun game on their smartphones” said Mr.Ng

The “Yamaha Tornado Run” game app has been adapted from the  Yamaha Lagenda 115Z television commercial that will be aired on national and satellite TV stations. It is a first in Malaysia where a game app has been adapted from a television commercial with the same storyline. The game app has been developed for Android /IOS-based smart phones and gadgets and can be downloaded for free from the Google play, Apple store and the Hong Leong Yamaha Motor website respectively.

The all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z models are available at all authorised Yamaha dealers nationwide and are priced at RM 4,792.00 for spoke wheel kick start and at RM 5,168.00 for cast wheel electric start version. The Yamaha Lagenda 115ZR variant is set at RM 5,410.00 (Peninsular Malaysia only, excluding road tax, insurance and number plate)
